God's Message Today, "I will keep you by My power."

Photobucket

Good Morning,

Please come and sit by the fireside with a cup of coffee or tea, take
a warm muffin and we will share a moment together reflecting
on the Father's love for us and the power and security it can give us.
My absence has been a learning time. A blog is a little different from
an email but perhaps ultimately better. I hope so.

God's Message Today, "I will keep you by My power."

His promise to me:  "You are kept by the power of God through faith for
salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."  (1Peter 1:5)

My response to the Word:  God's power is able to keep me through faith.
This knowledge gives me a sense of deep and lasting security.  Paul wrote,
"But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil."
Because I know God is keeping me, I will keep on keeping on.

My prayer:  Father, thank you for your keeping power in my life.  I place
my life securely in your hands.

Today's Scriptures:  Ps. 121:5;  Prov. 13:6;  2 Thess; 3:3;  2 Tim.1:7.

May you have that sense of safety and security today, abiding in the power of
Our Heavenly Father;  Who does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power
and love and a sound mind.  Enjoy and appropriate the gifts that are
yours as a child of the King.

God's Message Today, "Abide in Me and let My words abide in you."

Photobucket

God's Message Today, "Abide in Me and let My words abide in you."

His message to me:  "If you will abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it will be done unto you."  (John 15:7)

My response to the Word:  I will abide in Christ and I will let the Word of God sink deep within my soul and spirit.  By doing so I know that God will hear and answer my prayers.  Wonderful things will happen to me as I live expectantly, believe confidently, and pray affirmatively.  I will do my best to constantly abide in Jesus Christ, my Lord.

My prayer:  Lord, I am a branch and you are the vine.  In order to be a fruitful branch I know I must stay close to you, abide in your presence, and let your words abide in me.  This gives me faith, rest and hope, and it brings answers to my prayers.  Thank you for letting me abide in you.  Thank you for your Word.

Today's Scriptures:  John 5:38-40; 1 John 2:28;
1 John: 3:6;  Psalms 119:11.

Have a joyful day.

God's Message Today, "My Word is Life to You."

How many times have I started a new Bible
reading program to get too busy to continue after only a few weeks?...way too many times.
The important thing is to keep trying. For a Christian, each day is a new beginning. It is
never too late to begin again.

God's message today: "My Word is life to You."

His promise to me: "Man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God." (Matt.4:4)

My response to the Word: I must have food to sustain my physical body, that is true.  But I am more than a physical body, my spirit needs the spiritual food that the Word gives me to nourish my spirit.  I need daily food for my body in order to stay physically healthy and I need to feast on the Word daily for my spirit to stay healthy.

My prayer:  Heavenly Father, my life is much too busy not to spend time in your Word, because I know my day will go better with You in it.  Knowing this I will make every effort to spend some time each day in your Word.
Thank you for for providing it.  It is a treasure and it will change my life for my good if I will let it.

Today's Scriptures: Psalm 119:105; Matt.4:4.

Wishing you a beautiful day with time and energy and desire to achieve some of your goals.

God's Message Today, " I will hear and I will heal."

We had the good fortune to live in the South for a few years and there is an
abundance of charming covered bridges.  They are wonderfully picturesque
and I especially like this one today with its patriotic touch on such an especially
patriotic day.  May the best men and women have won. May we awaken
on November 3rd, to the sweet smell of success.

God's Message Today:  "I will hear and I will heal."

His promises to me:  "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble
themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then
I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land."
(2 Chron. 7:14)

My response the the Word:  Well wow!!  Who is responsible for the
healing of the land?  "My people, who are called by my name."  I thought
it was somebody else's fault didn't you?  I didn't consider it might possibly
be my fault.  Am I doing the best I can?  Am I exhibiting the fruit of the
Spirit spoken about in Galatians 5:22, which is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control?  That's
my calling, that's my part.

My prayer:  Heavenly Father,  I want to be all you have called me to be.
With your help and the Holy Spirit revealing to me the wicked ways I should
turn from, I will endeavour to be humble and seek your face and be part
the solution to the healing of this land instead of being part of the problem.
Thank you for making me aware and thank you for giving me the strength
I need to make the changes...for,  according to your Word.  "I can do
all things through Christ who strengthens me."  I believe your Word.

Today's Scriptures:  2 Chron.7:14; Gal. 5:22;  Phil. 4:13.

Wishing you a happy and productive day.

God's Message Today, "My peace will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus."

Hi Friends,

It was suggested to me that a blog might be the better way to share these
devotionals.  My husband uses web email and he gets symbols where words
should be and I have had another person tell me that they have that problem as
well. In an attempt to correct some of these problems I thought I would give
blogging a try.  This is the first one.  I hope this will be better for those
of you who have had problems.  Bear with me as I learn about blogging.

God's message today,  "My peace will keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus."

His promise to me: "Be careful for nothing;  but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."  (Phil. 4:6-7)

My response to the Message:  God gives me peace of mind and peace of heart.  Therefore, I will not worry about anything.  Instead, I will pray and be thankful.
Worry can't change the past or alter the future, but it certainly can destroy the present moment.  I will walk in the peace of God throughout this day.

My prayer:  Lord, thank you for your peace which truly does surpass all understanding.  By your grace I will enjoy your peace throughout this day.

Today's Scriptures:  Heb. 13:20;  1 Pet. 3:11; Jude 2.

Hope you had a wonderful "Son"day.
